RedAnt Design has an established corporate social investment (CSI) program.
The following criteria were identified to assist in selecting our beneficiary:
- We decided that any project should benefit children and educational causes preferably in rural areas.
- The beneficiary had to be well administered and funds had to be used for projects rather than administration.
- The Trustees had to be suitably qualified and dedicated to the ideals of the trust.
- The project had to be of a nature that our employees could actually visit from time to time and develop new ways to assist other than merely making financial contributions.
After extensive research we have decided on the Buffelshoek Trust which benefits poverty stricken communities in the Limpopo / Mpumalanga provinces of South Africa. The trust has many different projects from education to health and sports facilities. The Buffelshoek trust were winners in the Mail and Guardian “investing in education” category 2006 and have to date spent well over R 30 million in the area.
